Serving Face: My Top Sorbet Make-Up Products

By . - Monday, March 09, 2020

Sorbet is an iconic South African brand known for their dry bars, nail salons and an array of products in store to use at home and add to your #RadicalSelfCare regimen. Not too long ago, they added to their name by developing and launching a make-up line that has had the beauty world buzzing. I had the opportunity to try out almost everything from their line, and I have my top 3 products that I would prefer to not leave home without. Go ahead...check my purse.

Sorbet
PREP & PORE LESS
all-in-one super primer

Price Point: R150

Where to Purchase: Clicks

Why I Love It: Guess what? This was my very first time using a primer on myself. I'm telling the truth! I never really liked the idea of primers in the past. It just seemed as if my skin would be suffocating under a layer of makeup, and that really rubbed me the wrong way. But here is the thing, I have what I consider to be large pores on my cheeks and a shiny five-head.

(I would like to take this moment to tell you that five-heads are hella sexy, and you can stay mad!)

This primer went on so smooth and non-sticky. If you don't want to be matte for the gods, leave this product alone. A little goes a long way and it really kept the unnecessary shine away while blurring my pores. Get you some!

Sorbet
FACE FIRST (Hazelnut)
SPF 15 anti-ageing foundation + serum

Price Point: R290

Where to Purchase: Clicks

Why I Love It: I don't care for a full face of makeup to be honest. The only reason this product caught my eye was due to the addition of serum. You mean I can look flawless and take care of my skin at the same time? BET! It also has a modest SPF 15 included in it, so if you would prefer something higher, I would suggest that you add your SPF 30 or 50 before using the primer. It's incredibly light weight and not full coverage at all. I like to look like myself when wearing makeup...not trying to scare my babies. It honestly felt as if I wasn't wearing anything. If you enjoy a serum as much as I do and want to look good while doing something great for your skin, this foundation could be your new favourite.

Sorbet
Shimmer & Glow Bronzer (Bronzed Brown)
Beautiful Stripes of Colors

Price Point: R200

Where to Purchase: Clicks

Why I Love It: I stan a product that doubles in its uses for me. This bronzer has beautiful rows of colour that can be swirled together if you fancy that. I used the second darkest bronze colour to warm my face up and the very last colour as my highlight. I would honestly use this bronzer without any other makeup. You can really add colour to your eyelids, cheeks and any high point of your face and be good. I would like them to be a little more inclusive and have a palette darker after this one. I don't know if this will work for my deeper skinned sisters.
