I'm very much interested in having a curly afro as a result I cut my hair so I don't know how to go about in getting the afro I want a bit similar to Pearl Thusi's hair.

Hi Sonto!
Pearl Thusi may have a different curl pattern and hair type to you. Having said that, it doesn't mean that you can't manipulate your hair to get a similar look. If all else fails you could always rock a wig that looks exactly like it!
First you want to wash and deep condition your hair a with a moisturising shampoo and conditioner. While your hair is damp add a leave in conditioner or a moisturising hair dress like organic root stimulator olive oil hair lotion. Then a apply a few drops of a natural oil like coconut oil or olive oil.
Put your hair into medium size twists while it's still damp. Allow the twists to dry completely and undo them. Fluff your hair but do not comb it until you achieve your desired look. Practice makes perfect, so keep trying until you find a routine that works. Let me know how it goes and take pictures of your hair.
