Make It Monday: Homemade Banana Hair Treatment

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon of Full Fat Milk
5 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1 Egg
1 Banana Baby Food

Directions:
  1. Beat the egg and full fat milk together in one bowl.
  2. Add the 5 tablespoons of warm extra virgin coconut oil to the eggs and milk.
  3. Mix the banana baby food with the egg, milk and coconut oil mixture.
  4. Use a hand mixer to make your mixture as smooth as possible.
  5. Apply the mixture to your hair from root to tip and allow to sit in your hair for up to 1 hour. 
  6. DO NOT USE WITH HEAT!!!
WARNING: 
The egg and milk in this recipe make this a protein treatment. If you are protein sensitive you may eliminate the eggs and milk and substitute with something more gentle like coconut milk.

  1. Hi Kavuli, I am 61 years old with waist length fine blonde hair.(No grey yet!VBG) Lately my hair has been harder to manage than it used to be. It's lost its shine, snarls and tangles easily and seems to have become weakened as I age. I've tried dozens of cream rinses and conditioners which only seem to weigh it down and make it look thin and oily.
