Radical Self Care: A Warm Bubble Bath

A warm candlelit bubble bath
The joints in my hands hurt. My wrists hurt. My lower back hurts. My ankles and toes hurt. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Warm bubble bath loading this evening...

I talk about radical self-care a lot of my social media platforms, and it's a strong element that I want to bring to the blog. Sometimes you just have to take time out and care for yourself. Fill your cup up so you can pour out to others.

I filled my tub up with warm enough water to soothe my joints but nothing to harm my growing baby bump. I used Clicks Pomegranate Foam Bath for some luxurious bubbles and Clicks Tissue Oil with Sweet Almond and Evening Primrose Oil for some moisture.

I lit two candles for relaxation and ambience. I have empty wine bottles that I keep around for craft projects, so I used them as candle holders and they work great. I'll be spray painting them soon and adding them to my decor.

I got into the tub and laid back. I immediately felt so much better. Floating in the water took the pressure off my joints completely. The baby started kicking and moving around like crazy. I realized that she could experience the floating sensation as well and was probably enjoying it. I laid in the tub until the water cooled down and I was completely relaxed. Thank goodness I added tissue oil to my bath because I was in no mood to get out of the tub and moisturize. It simply wasn't going to happen.

I allowed my skin to air dry and I got into the bed. I think I was awake for all of 10 minutes. Needless to say, it was the best sleep I've had in about a month. I can't say that I will do this every night, but I will definitely incorporate this into my regimen twice a week.
