In Coconut Oil We Trust!
Most of my followers are so obsessed with coconut oil, and I find myself deliberately looking for recipes to incorporate or highlight this Godly ingredient. I bring you whipped coconut oil.
2. Mix on high speed with a wire whisk for 6-7 minutes or until whipped into a light, airy consistency.
3. Spoon the whipped coconut oil body butter into a glass jar and cover tightly. Store at cool place, or in the refrigerator if your house is so warm it melts the oil.

Tools:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- a few drops of your favourite essential oils for fragrance (optional)
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Note: Do not melt the coconut oil first. It will only whip up if it’s solid. A little below room temperature is ideal2. Mix on high speed with a wire whisk for 6-7 minutes or until whipped into a light, airy consistency.
3. Spoon the whipped coconut oil body butter into a glass jar and cover tightly. Store at cool place, or in the refrigerator if your house is so warm it melts the oil.
Tip: An electric hand mixer or stand mixer works best. A blender or food processor will not work with this coconut oil recipe, because they tend to warm the oil too much and prevent it from whipping up.

ReplyDeletei have a few questions Kavuli - if you don't mind?
1. Its getting so hot in Jozi; I suppose you have to keep the whipped coconut in the fridge so it doesn't melt into oil?
2. if it turns into an oil can it be whipped again- or if i wait for it to solidify will it have the same effect?
3. what are u using the whipped coconut moisturiser for? your face or hair or both?
Hi Kangopie,
DeleteI love questions! These a good ones as well.
1. Yes, you would need to keep it in the fridge if it's hot where you are.
2. It can be re-whipped if it liquifies again.
3. I'm using this for my hair. If I were to use it on my face, I would probably skip the essential oil because of sensitivity. You can use it all over the body though.
Thanks for the support and the question.
And thank you for the answer too!! xoxo
