Style of The Week - The Roller Set - Day 8

By . - Monday, September 24, 2012

Do you enjoy full and volumonous hairstyles? Well the traditional rollerset is the best way to achieve this look without damaging the hair with excessive heat or products. As you know, I am wearing Demi Godess Natural Wave Mongolian hair, and this is what it looks like without really being styled. The hair is naturally wavy and beautiful.

I decided that I wanted a fuller and smoother look for South Africa Fashion Week's Motions & Tresemme Sheer Glamour Hair Show. I achieved the below look with a good old fashioned roller-set.

Tools
  • Spray bottle with water
  • Magnetic Rollers
  • Clips for Rollers
  • Hair Net
  • Hooded Hair Dryer
  • Small tooth comb
How To Achieve The Look
  1. Start with freshly washed and deep conditioned hair
  2. Part the left, middle and right side of the hair and clip the sections.
  3. De-tangle the section of hair well before apply rollers
  4. Part a section of your hair the same width as the roller you plan to use.
  5. Spray that section of hair with plain water to ensure it is soaked
  6. Smooth the ends of the hair onto the roller and continue rolling.
  7. Secure roller with clips
  8. Repeat this process over the entire head.
  9. Cover rollers with a hair net
  10. Sit under a hooded dryer for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until hair and scalp is dry/
Your rollers should look like this...

Remove the rollers when the hair is completely dry. Wrap the hair and cover cling wrap to sit under the dryer for an additional 10 minutes. When you comb your wrap out it will be smooth, bouncy and voluminous!

Have you tried a roller-set on your hair? What were your results? Let us know in the comment section below!

Have a Good Hair Day!!!
