I'm in. Irony, finished my last bottle over the weekend, need to stock up again. Lol. My hair is NL (and not even full NL, front sides are still a little shorter than chin length. My goal is full SL by end of this year. I know it's more than possible.
ReplyDeleteIt's totally possible, Phoenix! Run out and get your bottle girl :)
DeleteI want my hair to be healthy. I admit to not taking good care of my hair I work with a food and beverage company that requires us to wear a cap so I usually put globs of hair gel in my hair and throw a ponytail in it. as can be expected my hair breaks off when i comb it. To be quite honest, I hate my hair and I'm very self concious about it. I want to have a better relationship with my hair becasue I have a daughter with a similar texture of hair as mine. I don't want her to hate anything about herself so I want to fix my attitude with my hair. Help a sistah out!
DeleteYou've come to the right place. Start by building a hair regimen. If you live in Cape Town, SA we can meet for a consultation where I help you get your hair on the right track.
DeleteI'm also using virgin coconut oil not only for my hair but also for my skin. But I'm using a different brand. But I do think it's as good as what you're using. For me, there would be no other way to take good care of our hair and skin aside from this.
ReplyDeleteAny brand of coconut oil is just fine as long as it's pure with no additives. I use a brand by the name of Crede, but I also grab clicks brand when I'm running low. It's all good.
ReplyDeleteHi, I want to join the coconut oil challenge!! I would be grateful if you explain how do you do the hot oil treatment (rule 4) and what do you mean by seal you hair (rule5) ? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHot Oil Treatment - Warm the oil, applying it to whole head and cover with a plastic cap or cling wrap for about 15 minutes.
DeleteSealing ends - Moisturize your hair with a water based moisturizer and put the oil over it to seal it in.
I hope this helps ;)
Can you do these challenges if you keep your braided?
ReplyDeleteYou sure can!
DeleteThanks Kavuli this is really helpfull. I have always put oil (cocnut, sesame castor or olive) in my hair and as you said I do remember when I was young my mum showed me how to do hot oil treatment but as you get older you just tend to drift away.
ReplyDeleteYup! We need to stick with the good habits we had as children.
DeleteHi Kavuli, I have a bit of a dilemma. I want to start the challenge but I’m not too sure where to begin. My hair is damaged and uneven in length, would you recommend that I cut it to even it out first before I begin with the challenge? I really hate having to cut my hair, isn't there some other way:(
