The Bounce Essentials Weft Care regime

Co-wash, co-wash, co-wash at least 2 times a week

“Co-washing” is short for “conditioner-only washing.” It means skipping shampoo and relying solely on conditioner, whether you're a daily or a weekly washer. This gentler way of cleaning minimizes color damage, since conditioners don't contain harsh hue-stripping sulfates, and adds the right amount of hydration to strands, cutting down on frizz.

My Review:

Packaging

I received two packages from Bounce Essential Hair, a 12 inch bundle and a 14 inch bundle. A simple eco-friendly cardboard packaging with red ribbon and Bounce Essential Hair Logo was simple and effective.

The Hair

14 Inch Afro Kinky Hair fresh out of the packaging

After co-washing the hair and allowing it to air dry outside.
The texture of this hair is undeniably afro kinky directly out of the packaging, and I was skeptical about it's ability to blend in with my natural mixture of 3c-4a hair, but I was pleasantly surprised at the way the curls softened after a good co-wash and air dry. It takes really well to a good quality conditioner and anti-frizz serum. Not much else is needed to maintain this hairs curl pattern. I did use a holding gel a few times, and the hair responded well and remained perfect.

The Installation

I did a sew-in with these wefts and opted to leave the perimeter of my hair out in order to achieve a realistic and flawless blend. I can't stand when a weave is obviously a weave. No one should ever be able to tell that you are wearing a hair piece.
I'm wearing the 12 inch at the bottom and the 14 inch on the top to give my hair more of a heart shape.

As you can see from the above pictures, my hair blends in perfectly! I only used conditioner and serum on this day. My hair blew in the wind the entire day and I felt fabulous.

I installed the 12 inches on top and 14 inches at the bottom for a longer look
I was filming a YouTube video on this day and needed my hair to be absolutely perfect. I styled this hair with conditioner, serum and bit of setting gel, and the curls were perfection!

Shedding

There really isn't much shedding with this hair, but detangling is a process that involves a lot of patience. I opted to use a wide tooth shower comb to detangle the hair while it was wet and saturated with conditioner. Because this hair mimicked my hair so closely I knew exactly how to handle it.

Lust

If your hair doesn't have a curl pattern, you can comb this hair out while dry and achieve a fierce fro. Never has one hair piece suited so many black hair types!

Love

I love how realistic this hair piece looks on me. I stopped wearing weaves a few years ago because I didn't like the fact that I had to manipulate my hair so much in order to blend with the European textures. There is finally a hair piece in the South African market that doesn't require me to change my style and hair texture.

I also love the fact that their website gives in detail instructions on how to care for the hair properly. This hair will teach you how to care for your own natural hair if you are a newbie.

Loathe

Absolutely nothing!
