Over the weekend I finally decided to start a Facebook group for parents and soon to be parents called South African Pregnancy & Parenting Group!
I'm currently 7 months pregnant with my first child, and a parent to a 6 year old girl. Although I am very fortunate to have a lot of support from family, friends and even complete strangers, I found that certain subject matters would be better discussed with fellow mums and parents alike.
The purpose of this group is to share advice, provide support and to create a safe environment for those of us who fall into the following areas but are not limited to:
- Trying to conceive (IVF, Surrogates etc.)
- Currently pregnant
- Having a difficult pregnancy
- Parents of adopted children
- Parents of bi-racial children
- Single parents (Single Dads & Single Mums)
- Same sex parents
- Blended families
