Ruutos Scalp Magic is a 4 part hair kit geared towards providing a healthy place for your hair to grow. Healthy Scalp = Healthy Hair

Because this is a kit, I will be reviewing all the products at the end of the post.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION FOR ALL HAIR TYPES:

A gentle cleansing, moisturzing formula infused with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Argan oil made for dry dehydrates hair and scalp.


PRODUCT DIRECTIONS:

  • Wet hair thoroughly with lukewarm water
  • Apply a small amount of moisture shapoo to palm and unto scalp
  • Gently massage into hair and scalp
  • Work the lather from the scalp to the ends of the hair.
  • Gently rinse with lukewarm water until the shampoo is rinsed off from the hair and scalp.
  • Repeat if necessary

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION FOR ALL HAIR TYPES:

A gentle cleansing formula made specially for dry dehydrated scalp.


PRODUCT DIRECTIONS:

  • Section your hair into 4 parts using sectioning clips.
  • Apply a generous amount onto the scalp using the spout or spray pump.
  • For long hair, the spout neck works best.
  • Massage the scalp with the balls of the finger tips, working in sections.
  • Spray each section working from roots to tip.
  • Do not rinse off.
  • Apply Ruutos Deep Moisture Conditioner (Step 3) and wear a conditioning cap.
  • Use a hooded dryer for 20 minutes or 45 minutes with no heat.
  • Rinse off using cold or lukewarm water to seal in moisture.

A gentle conditioning formula rich in conditioning agents. Ruutos deep moisture conditioner moisturises dry, brittle hair.


PRODUCT DIRECTIONS:

  • Apply a generous amount of deep moisture conditioner to wet hair.
  • Massage from roots to tips
  • Let it penetrate the hair
  • For deep penetration, wear a conditioning cap and apply moderate heat for 10-30 minutes.
  • Rinse off with lukewarm or cold water.
  • Use weekly.

Ruutos Anti-Itch spray contains conditioning and detangling agents. It is infused with Jamaican Black Castor Oil, it is rich in soothing and cooling agents to reduce itchy scalp.


PRODUCT DIRECTIONS:

  • Spray directly onto the scalp.
  • Do not rinse off
  • Repeat as desired.


MY REVIEW:

The Ruutos Scalp Magic kit is a results oriented system. If you're looking for fancy packaging, fruity scents and lackluster results, then Scalp Magic is not for you. Every single product is connected to the next and truly meant to be used in order. 

I started with the Moisture Shampoo after removing braids I had been wearing for 6 weeks. The shampoo was very gentle with a pleasant tingling effect. I rinsed my shampoo out, sectioned my hair off and began squeezing the scalp cleanser directly to my scalp. I love the fact that this product comes with a spray pump and a nozzle for easy access to the scalp. With the two different attachments, you could take excellent care of your scalp under a weave if you needed to. I rubbed the scalp cleaners into my scalp with my finger tips, and immediately felt as if my scalp could breathe freely. I also suffer from scalp eczema, which means that I get the occasional flair up here and there. This product is strong enough to lift the dead skin but gentle enough to deal with a tender scalp. I was so surprised when I read the directions and it said not to rinse the scalp cleanser out. The next step was to apply the Deep Moisture Conditioner on top of the scalp cleanser but throughout the hair. I sat with the conditioner on my hair for about 30 minutes and then rinsed. My hair was super soft and scalp felt cool. The last step was to use the Anti-Itch Spritzer. I switched to the nozzle attachment and got it directly to my scalp. I styled as usual.

Overall, I would recommend this kit to anyone with serious scalp issues such as dandruff, eczema, psoriasis or a flaky scalp. I would also recommend using this kit before and after installing and removing braids, wigs or weaves. I really believe that this kit gives your hair a fighting chance by providing a healthy scalp to grow from. I have medium length hair and I got 2 uses out of the kit. That works out to R300 for two treatments. SOLD!

I give this kit a 5 out of 5 combs!
