Products I Plan To Use (Re-Use) In 2012

By . - Wednesday, December 07, 2011

I recently did a post on How To Set Hair Goals for 2012, and now I want to chat about the products I plan on using in the new year. Some of them are old favorites that fell through the cracks and others are brand new to the collection.

SHAMPOOS

Organic Root Stimulator Uplifting Shampoo - It's chelating so I don't need a clarifying shampoo with this. It smells good and it's from a brand I trust. Oldie but goodie!

CONDITIONERS

Yes To Carrots Pampering Hair Mud Conditioner - I don't know when and why I stopped using this conditioner. It's amazing as a deep moisturizing conditioner due to it's super thick consistency. I even use to use it for moisturizing and twist/braid-outs. Check out the ingredients...

Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Dead Sea Water (Maris Aqua), Silt (Maris Limus), Magnesium Chloride, Chamomila Recutita (Chamomile) Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Calendula Officinalis Oil, Daucus Carota (Carrot) Seed Oil, Daucus Carota (Carrot) Juice, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Juice, Ipomoera Batatas (Sweet Potato) Extract, Cucumis Melo (Melon) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Honey (Mel) Extract, Fragrance (Parfum), Dimethicone, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ) Oil, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Cetrimonium Chloride, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Peel Extract.

TRESemme' Moisture Rich Conditioner - This is a current staple for me. I use it to co-wash with since it's normally quite cheap and gives me decent slip. The fragrance is still a bit overpowering, but I think I'm starting to get used to it. Check out the ingredients...

Profectiv Mega Growth Deep Strengthening Growth Conditioner - I love this stuff as my deep protein conditioner. My hair is always extra soft after using this with heat or even overnight. The smell is nice as well. This is a definite keeper for 2012! Check out the ingredients...

MOISTURIZERS

TBA - I'm on the hunt for some new ones!

LEAVE-INS

Sta-Sof-Fro Hair & Scalp Spray, Comb Out Conditoner with Lanolin and Protein -
I have never used this as a braid spray or a leave in, but I'm really curious about the product. It super cheap where I live and you can find it everywhere. I would use this as a moisturizer when I do mini twists, braids and as a general leave in.

Loreal Studio Silk & Gloss Hot Straight Cream - This is my staple heat protectant that I stumbled on in a small chemist. It leaves my hair so soft and shiny, and the product really gets my hair straight. The smell is very sweet and pleasant. I love it! Check out the in

Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Split-End Leave-In Protector - I love this stuff and it isn't available in South Africa yet. A friend of mine went overseas and brought me back two bottles that I use sparingly. I just don't know what I will do when it runs out!
OILS
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil - What can I say? I really believe that this oil will help me reach MBL and eventually WL. There is no two ways about. I also use it on my face and body as a moisturizer. It smells amazing and it tastes yummy!
Extra Virgin Olive Oil - I haven't used olive oil in a very long time, but I'm going back to it. My coconut oil is expensive and I believe olive oil is a bit cheaper and more accessible. I will be sealing , oil rinsing and deep conditioning with this in the new year.

This will be my stash for 2012 and my arsenal for getting to WL by the end of the year. I'm super excited! So tell me, what products will you be using in 2012?

Have a Good Hair Day!!!
