What is oil rinsing?

Oil rinsing is essentially washing your hair with oil before applying your conditioner of choice.

How do you oil rinse properly?

  1. Rinse (or shampoo) your hair
  2. Coat your hair with your favorite oil in sections
  3. Rinse with warm water
  4. Apply conditioner
  5. Rinse with cold water
  6. Proceed with normal hair regimen

What are the benefits?

  • Eases the detangling process (fewer single strand knots have been reported)
  • Softens the overall texture of the hair
  • Combats dry hair and breakage
  • Increases hairs natural shine

Who should be oil rinsing?

Anyone and everyone can benefit from oil rinsing. Oil rinsing would be especially beneficial during the cold winter months. I would recommend this wonderful treatment for relaxed, natural and locked hair styles.

Have a Good Hair Day!!!

  2. @Shabby - This would be wonderful to do before and after the sew-in weave. Just don't do it during. :)
