Spotlight: Kay Nou Inc. - Cultivating A Better Tomorrow For Haiti's Youth

By . - Thursday, November 11, 2010

Today I would like to talk about a not for profit organization that is near and dear to my heart. The name is Kay Nou Inc., and the organization is dedicated to the children of Haiti.

What is Kay Nou all about?

Kay Nou, which means “Our House” in Haitian Creole, is a tax exempt not-for-profit organization devoted to caring for abandoned and disenfranchised youth in Haiti. Kay Nou was started in 2009 by Executive Director, E. Johann Richard. Kay Nou aims to address the physical, emotional and academic needs of Haitian youth. We seek to rebuild hope through education and employment opportunities, as well as create relevant and replicable projects that the people of Haiti will be able to manage. In addition to the youth, Kay Nou seeks to help the adults of Haiti with the reconstruction of educational institutions and housing.

How exactly can I help? CLICK TO HELP!!!!!

DONATE!

Kay Nou is focused on Haiti’s long term needs as we work collaboratively with
our partners to rebuild the country one community at a time. Your generosity
and passion coupled with the tenacity of the Haitian people will enable Kay Nou
to create and implement initiatives to help Haiti’s youth become contributing
members in their respective communities. We appreciate and thank you for
your support.  As you may already know, Haiti was classified as the poorest
country in the Western Hemisphere prior to the earthquake – with a significant
portion of its population earning only two dollars a day.  Your ongoing support
is paramount to securing a stronger and safer future for Haiti’s youth.

UNIFORM DRIVE CLICK TO HELP!!!!
Sponsor a child and create real, lasting change for not only them but for their
community. For $15 USD a child can receive a full uniform for the school year.
Kay Nou believes that the uniforms will build confidence for the students and
also encourage families to enroll their kids in school knowing that they will not
have to choose between educating their children over feeding their families.
