Update on my hair

What's up people? I have been so busy lately, and I haven't had a chance to update you on what I'm doing with my hair these days. The picture on the left is what my naturally curly hair looks like on a normal basis. I still dont know what my curl pattern is, but I'm not really worried about it at this moment. What did worry me was the state of my ends when I decided to straighten my hair recently. Oh no guys!

My ends looked really dry with more splits ends then I care to remember. I nearly cried and I spent a good couple of weeks trying to decide what to do about it. You know how it is...you always want to hold on to your ends for length, but I know what holding on to split ends will do for you.

So I decided to 'Man Up' and chop off the nonsense at the ends of my hair. I ended up taking off and 1 1/2 inches and deep conditioning my poor unhappy tresses. Then I did a twist out that came out super cute. My hair felt soooo much better. It looks super short, but it still comes down to my shoulders in the back and layered on the sides.

Once the twist out started getting messy, I decided to do a cute updo for a while. The back is pinned up and the curls are preserved in the front. I got so many compliments on this hair do.

So what does my hair look like right
now? I decided to do a full head weave as a protective style for a couple of weeks. My hair and ends need a rest and I've always been able to retain amazing length with a sew-in weave. Did I mention that I sewed it in myself? That's right people! We are multi talented up in this piece...lol

The last picture is really bad, but I realized that I didn't take proper pics of the front of my head. Anyway, I am super happy with the hair, and I plan to take care of my hair underneath and still maintain a fabulous weave.
The next post will definitely be about taking care of your hair while wearing a weave. That's all for now...Happy hair growing!
