"My name is DaMiya and I am 15 years old. I have been natural for a year and I only have four inches of new growth. I have 4c hair. it is really thick and short so I don’t know what hairstyles to do with it. I would like to know what you use in yours to make it grow so fast and healthy. What hairstyles would you recommend for my hair type?

Hi Miya!

Afro textured hair on average only grows about 6 inches (15 cm) per year. I would recommend that you deep condition your hair twice a week, and keep your hair moisturised and sealed with oil daily.

As for hairstyles, I would recommend you try protective hairstyles. Leave your hair in braids, twists or even a wig to protect it from daily damage. Let me know how it goes :)
